On Tuesday, 27 June, An agreement has signed between Tesla and Volvo Swedish Carmaker to allow its electric Vehicles (EVs) authority to the EV Maker’s Supercharger Network in the United State, Mexico and Canada
As a result of the agreement, Volvo becomes the first European automaker to adopt Tesla’s North American Charging Standard (NACS), joining the plethora of EV producers and charging equipment manufacturers who have already adopted the technology.
Volvo said that as of 2025, its vehicles in the three nations will have the NACS port, and owners who prefer to use the Combined Charging System (CCS) will be able to do so with an adapter the company will supply.

Following Ford’s announcement from last month, Rivian Automotive Inc., an electric vehicle manufacturer based in California, and General Motors said they would implement the charging design.
According to the US Department of Energy, about 60% of all fast chargers in the country are Tesla Superchargers.
With its most recent deals, it has made significant progress toward unseating rival standard CCS, which had previously only received support from President Joe Biden’s administration.
To accelerate the deployment of EV chargers in the United States, the government is offering $7.5 billion in funding.
